Dr. Chris Brummer awarded Distinguished Teaching Award
Dr. Chris Brummer has written many articles related to legal research and writing for various publications, including the Journal of Business Communication, The George Mason Legal Review, The National Business Review, The Virginia Business Review, and The National Jurist. He has also lectured on legal research topics such as contracts and securities law at various universities, including the University of Virginia, the George Mason University School of Law, and the Federal Judicial Center.
Dr. Chris Brummer has taught various courses at George Mason University School of Law, where he teaches contracts and business law. He also lectures on legal research and writing and contracts, business law, and securities law. Before joining the faculty at George Mason University School of Law in 2008, Brummer served as a visiting professor at the University of Virginia School of Law. He taught contracts and corporate law.
Brummer has been awarded many awards for his work in teaching and his work in scholarly research. In 2008 he was awarded the “Distinguished Teaching Award” from the National Jurist Institute for his contribution to legal scholarship by teaching students how to write an effective legal analysis. Also, in 2008 he won “The Distinguished Teaching Award” from The National Business Review for his contributions to legal scholarship.
Chris Brummer believes that the purpose of a contract is to achieve specific goals, and to accomplish those goals, the contract must be written in an understandable and fairway. He believes that contracts should be written in a manner that makes it easy for the parties to understand and enforceable if necessary. He believes that all contracts should be written so that they can stand up to an independent third party’s legal analysis and the scrutiny of a jury.
