Kfir Gavrieli Speaks About Being a Hero

As we continue to emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic we are learning more and more of those selfless people and companies who reached out and helped others during one of the worst health challenges in the memory of most people.

Kfir Gavrieli is the Chief Operating Officer of the wildly popular shoes, Tieks, is one of those people, and his company stepped up as soon as the country was told to don masks to help slow or stop the spread of the virus.

Gavrieli knew his most pressing question was not if he and Tieks should help, but rather how should they help and how soon could they start to make a difference? His first move was to have his team make masks for first responders. That was almost a no-brainer for Gavrieli. He immediately purchased a multitude of sewing machines and had his headquarters staff begin to make masks. Not one to leave any stones uncovered Kfir Gavrieli joined with other area businessmen and women to donate funds to purchase the critical N95 masks for the first responders as well.

While satisfied he was making a difference Gavrieli knew that more needed to be done because of the mass amounts of masks that were needed. He utilized his social media access such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to motivate others and formed a group that would be called #Operation Sew Together. That movement ended up making and donating many, many masks. Gavrieli helped to provide additional motivation for others to sew by offering gift cards to those who chose to sew.

The Tieks CEO also offered gift cards to first responders. In the end the folks who joined Operation Sew Together made a million masks to distribute at no charge to the users.

Kfir Gavrieli strongly believes that his employees at the Tieks organization are his personal heroes. They all went above and beyond the jobs for which they were hired to make a difference during a really dark time for this country. See this article for additional information.
