Alliance Defending Freedom Keeps Focus on Liberty

The Alliance Defending Freedom was created in 1994. It was formerly known as Alliance Defense Fund. Although it was founded by members of the Christian community, this does not restrict its scope. On the contrary, the primary position of the ADF is that religious freedom is meant for everyone. As a result, the group has defended Mormons, Jews, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and people who have no religious beliefs.

The ADF has also been instrumental in defending people outside of the U.S. It has had a presence in many court cases, foreign and domestic, where religious liberty is under threat. This attention to principle has been the guiding position from which the group continues to function. It has brought the ADF to prominence on more than one occasion.

As all too few people are aware, the Alliance Defending Freedom has engaged in a great deal of political activity on college campuses around the nation. These are the areas where the group has campaigned on behalf of libertarian, pro-life, and other types of conservative speech. The protection of these expressions is paramount to our being.

The Alliance Defending Freedom has been active for nearly three decades. In that time, it has racked up a notable list of victories in court. The battle has been to stop the encroachment of government in the sphere of our private liberties. Religion is one of the areas where this is most likely to happen. This is why we focus our fight for freedom in this area.

It can also be noted by astute observers that the Alliance Defending Freedom has done a great deal of work on behalf of conservative causes. These are the means by which we preserve our religious, civil, and political liberties. It is a matter of importance that we keep the attention of the public solidly riveted on these crucial concerns. See this article for more information.
