EXCEPTIONAL WORKS OF COLCOM FOUNDATION

Cordelia S. May, after a critical analysis of the beauty of nature and its balance, invented the Colcom Foundation in 1996. This Foundation was established to solve the compromise on the balance. Cordelia understood that the reproduction rate was unpredictable, but what was obvious was the impact that it would have. The Foundation has continued to work in an attempt to save the ecosystem despite the founder’s death in 2005.

The world is now experiencing some of the effects that the Colcom Foundation was trying to help solve, including biodiversity loss, aquatic destruction, and ecosystem collapse. The Foundation strongly believes that all these effects result from overpopulation as mother nature is unable to support the outnumbering individuals compared to the resources available.

Colcom Foundation was built to advocate for family planning and educate people on safe sex to avoid unwanted pregnancies. All this was in an attempt to reduce the birth rates in the world, hoping to stabilize the population to align with the available resources.

Another factor that the Colcom Foundation has taken a key interest in is immigration rates in the U. S. The Foundation believes that by setting up standard policies of controlling the number of immigrants that the U. S admits, it can be able to control its population hence, reducing overpopulation, which directly results in a better human-nature relationship as mother earth will have enough resources for everyone.

Other than that, the Foundation actively supports and organizes environmental conservation projects, all of which align with their goal: to save the earth, restore its glory, and improve the quality of life. To achieve this, it has established a Youth foundation, The Student Conservation Association, which offers opportunities to environment-enthusiastic youths in Pittsburg who are used to spreading the word even on social media and participating in environmental projects.
