Kelcy Warren Earns Top Industry Honors in Energy Sector
Over a career spanning decades in the energy pipeline industry, Kelcy Warren has accumulated a range of honors that reflect both his influence within the sector and his standing in the broader Texas business community. As founder and Executive Chairman of Energy Transfer, he has received recognition from some of the most prominent organizations in American oil and gas.
Award Recognition Across the Industry
Recent honors for Kelcy Warren include induction into the Hart Energy Hall of Fame and the Texas Oil and Gas Association’s highest recognition. SMU Cox’s Maguire Energy Institute has also honored him, as has D CEO Magazine, which tracks Dallas’s most influential business figures. The Gas Processors Association presented him with the Hanlon Award, one of the more notable honors in the midstream energy sector.
Warren is a member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Ammys Hall of Fame, and the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, which recognizes people who have overcome adversity to achieve personal and professional success. He was named a 2020 Laureate in the Dallas Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement of Dallas.
Civic Appointments and Leadership Roles
Beyond industry honors, Kelcy Warren has taken on civic roles that reflect a commitment to public service. Governor Greg Abbott appointed him to the University of Texas System Board of Regents through 2025. He was appointed to the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees in 2019 and serves on the board of the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation in Dallas.
