Steve Hutensky

Steve Hutensky is a film-production consultant and the CEO of Steve Hutensky Productions and Productions for Film, TV, and Commercials. Steve Hutensky is so interested in filmmaking that he has created an entire company. His goal was to champion the filmmakers and provide a helpful organization with value beyond just helping them pay meaningful advances against their future earnings.

Academic Qualifications

Hutensky has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Richmond. He is also one of the founders of the university’s film society. He then went on to obtain an MBA from UCLA, and after that, he worked for several years as a marketing executive. This period gave him enough experience in film production to pave the way for a film career.

Professional career

he went on to create his production firm, and Steve Hutensky remains so influential in the film industry. He has been involved in over 400 feature film productions and has worked with some of the best directors in Hollywood, such as Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, David Fincher, James Cameron, and David Peoples. Hutensky did work for several other companies, such as Benderspink, and his most recent project was to produce a television series for HBO called The Wire.

Made Up Stories

In November 2006, The Independent Picture Company and Hutensky partnered up to make a film called Made Up Stories which Morgan Spurlock directed. The project was done in Belize, and it is the first collaboration that Steve Hutensky has engaged in with a film director for HBO.

Current Activities

Hutensky still works as a production consultant and works alongside leading film directors such as Michael Bay and Francis Lawrence. He also works as an expert in the movie industry, consulting several filmmakers on their projects.

Hutensky still has a passion for filmmaking. He says his main aim is to make a film that gives back to the industry so that other filmmakers will have hope for their projects. Many people help filmmakers by giving them hope. Still, Steve is different from them because he also invests money into the film industry and helps it grow by investing in talent.
