Steve Hutensky
Steve Hutensky is a film producer and executive who draws from a long career of both business and legal experience. Much of this experience comes from his time at Relativity Media, where he served as the head of business affairs. While there, he worked as the chief executive officer and helped the company raise many billion in the capital. He also worked on many film projects and legal matters for Relativity and its artists.
Aside from his work as a film producer, Steve Hutensky also served at East West Bank. He was a senior vice president and worked there for years. While there, he managed all of the bank’s securitization work with JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Merrill Lynch. He currently owns and operates three companies, Morley Media Management, Hutensky Productions, and Huggotron.
He has worked on the board of directors for several companies, including Relativity Media. He also worked with various non-profit organizations, including the Los Angeles Police Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
He was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and then received his J.D. from Southwestern University Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Steve Hutensky lives in Los Angeles with his family. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, a non-profit organization. His philanthropic interest primarily includes the support of non-profit organizations that provide services to underprivileged children and their families.
He is also an avid sports fan who enjoys watching the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the New York Knicks games. He also likes reading and playing golf.
He has Made Up Stories by winning several awards, including being recognized as a “Top 100 Business Attorney” by the National Law Journal, the “Best Lawyers in America,” and being named one of Variety Magazine’s “New Power of New York” leaders. He was selected for the Golden Globe award in the “Motion Picture – Drama” category for his work producing the movie “Igby Goes Down” which he won. He also produced the movie “Insomnia,” which won awards at various film festivals. He also produced the movie “The Devil Wears Prada,” which was nominated for an Oscar.
